Years ago, I joined this website. I joined it for a lot of reasons but without a lot of direction, if that makes sense. If you notice the date on my last journal entry you'll see that it's been a LONG time since I've actually been an active member of this community. But now, with your permission, I'd like to come back.

Just before I wrote this journal entry I updated my gallery with The Uncommon XII and I thought that I should say a few words about the pieces in the series. So here goes.
The Uncommon started years ago almost by accident. I was out with a photography class in Sacramento and we were basically allowed to shoot whatever we wanted, just to see what happened. I wondered as I walked what others were shooting and knew that no one would bring the same image in even though we were all around the same area. This is of course because everyone, regardless of how similar they may seem, sees the world uniquely. But just how uniquely, just how differ
